After numerous requests from customers for numbers and other information about 348 and 409 engines, we decided to compile our notes into a handbook for easy reference. All of the information contained in these pages has been collected through countless hours of research involving original GM parts books, assembly manuals, other literature, and the original cars themselves. We have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of this manual; however, some errors may have slipped by us. If you do spot an error, please feel free to let us know. Our intention is to be of assistance to the 348/409 enthusiast in building his car. We hope that this book is helpful, and if there are any ways which we may improve it, please let us know.
